Hi,
Thank you for this info, I'm planning several short presentations about

Hi,
during the FAD EMEA 2012 in Rheinfelden we talked about producing Fedora
cycling jerseys, therefore I searched the web a little bit to see if it's
doable.
The jerseys i found are of a discrete quality and can be printed also with
a full custom design; however the producer offers also some design examples
to print the personalized jerseys. You can take a look on the pricelist
here:
http://www.owayo.com/cycling-custom-jerseys/prices/pricelist.htm
Some examples:
20 pieces: 40,50 €
35 pieces: 36,00 €
50 pieces: 31,50 €
Obviously the more we order the less we pay, that's the reason why we
decided yesterday at our EMEA ambassador meeting to probe how many people
are interested to order at least one cycling jersey. We can't place a huge
order if there are only 10 people interested, so please reply to this topic
to help us to understand which quantity would be correct.
The jerseys are the classic summer jerseys in R-Tex material, shorsleeve
(or sleeveless). The design however should be up to our design-team, and as
I'm a passionate biker I'd be happy to wear a Fedora Jersey :)
Delivery time actually is about 5 weeks.
Please let me know if you're interested, thank you.
Cheers.

Hello ambassadors,
Good morning from Egypt :)
Two days ago the government here in Egypt anunced a deal with Microsoft ,
with 43M$
All opensource communities and activists in Egypt started to move and act
to stop that deal or at least limit It's effect
We organized a stand (1) In front of the prime minister's office (2)(3)
Ahmed Mekkawy(4)(5) (OpenEgypt(6) member and Opensource Activist) arranged
a meeting with the minister of communications in Egypt who's in charge of
almost anything related to IT field in the government
Nadeen(7) and I attended the meeting as Fedora Community Ambassadors
There has been other communities in the meeting (Ubuntu(8), Adf(9) and
others )
We've talked about many things but the results was not as expected, they
are still continuing with the deal as it
But they promised there'll be a commitment to open source in the upcoming
projects, also they said there will be other meetings
People in the street started to ask "What's opensource? why ?" , That's a
great achievement for us
As I said this is not our last move

Hello APAC FAms,
Time has come to plan next year budget, FY2013.
As per the continuous improvement on budget management by FAmSCo,
Budget Wrangler per each region needs to submit the next year budget
at the end of the each year.
All the expenses except FUDcon and FAD should be included. This is a
projection of the total funds we need for the year, though we tried
last time that wasnt possible. Therefore this is the first time we are
going to do this.
I know as per the current situation it is hard to make such a budget
because sometimes special needs may arises. However we need to manage
his challenge. Therefore it is required to get information from the
FAms and plan. Tuan will also help me on this.
Following has been identified as main areas that we need funding.
x Media production
x SWAG production
x Expenses for Release parties
x Event sponsorships
x Event attendee subsidy
x Special projects/ policies
x Others
The process will follow like this, if you planning to do something for
next year under above categories please prepare a rough budget and
update the ticket. Please include in ticket[1] what is it (which
category it belongs), expected quarter* and amount required(good if it
can have a cost breakdown). Do mention the estimated rough cost.
Margin for unexpected expenses will be considered later at the budget
preparing stage.
Deadline for the entries = 2013 Jan 04, 23:59 UTC
Once the budget is prepared I ll present it next APAC FAm meeting and
once it is agreed I can forward it to FAmSCo.
FY13 Q1 (March 2012 - May 2012)
FY13 Q2 (June 2012 - Aug 2012)
FY13 Q3 (Sept 2012 - Nov 2012)
FY13 Q4 (Dec 2012 - Feb 2013)
Thanks for your support and please do contact me if you need more help
or clarification.

Hello Ambassadors,
I would like to annouce the third annual Northeast GNU/Linux fest. It
will be at Harvard University on March 16 and 17 of 2013. We would love
to have Fedora at this event. We know that Mario will be attending this
event. We will have 5 tracks and 8 or 9 classrooms that we can use. I
would like to offer Fedora an entire track to use for all things Fedora.
I think Fedora has the best community and would like to have a large
Fedora presence at the event. I think Mario will be manning a booth at
the event. Also if you want you will have access to some of the
classrooms if you see fit. Please let me know if anyone would like to
get involved with this event. Please spread the word and hope to see you
there. Here is a link to the website.
