We would like to follow an *open* decision process where people will be able to nomiate themselves and then we can vote. This ticket is being opened as we want the entire APAC region to nominate someone as Storyteller and then we can vote. The role of the storyteller is to === Description === Helps communicate the "story" of a region's participation and activity in local events and how Fedora is impacting these local communities and events Demonstrates how regional spending is tied to real impacts and outcomes that affect the growth of the Fedora Project Works with other Ambassadors on creating event reports and ensuring they are properly syndicated throughout the community Helps come up with creative ideas to boost Fedora's impact at local events and how to measure our impact after an event === Responsibilities === * Communicate with local Ambassadors after an event to ensure report is written Sharing those in a public, static place like the Fedora Community Blog If possible, share story on social media or on relevant mailing lists * Work to create badges for every local event with a Fedora presence * Write a quarterly / bi-annual "report" on regional participation documenting what the region is up to Needless to mention that, a strong visibility within Fedora APAC Community and understanding of the project is required to perform the responsiblities. Being an Fedora Ambassador is a plus. Let's all chime in and propose names for the position. zsun reported a new issue against the project: `ambassadors-apac` that you are following: `` This is a sponsor request for swags in China. We have run out of swags by the end of 2016. Luckily we did not have any events this year so this doesn't matter a lot. Now I hear we will have a postponed SFD event in Tsinghua University in October 21st which is a joined event with other communities so more people are expected. As the swag coordinator in China I am writing to request sponsorship for making swags. Current plan is to still make some key ring or pin with Fedora logo. I am requesting USD 100 this time and then deal with the vendors for a better bulk production price. Currently I get a reference as around 0.4 USD per piece without postage. So with USD 100 we could make a little more than 200 pieces. The SFD in Tsinghua will consume about 100 pieces so the remaining will be used in other ad-hoc events. This won't be enough to cover the upcoming Fedora 27 release party so I might request swags for that when we are planning for it. Wiki Page: No. As this is a general swag request and the swags will go into the SFD events and ad-hoc events. I am organizing this Fedora InstallFest at my university just to start a culture of using Linux. I am majorly targeting First year and Second Year B.Tech students with an approximate footfall of 100 to 150 students. The Tibetan community has seen an increasing number of Fedora users and I also plan to host a release party for Fedora 28 later this year at TCV school ( one of the largest Tibetan school ) with around 400 senior students would be a great way to spread Fedora Linux.
