Fedora-11 Status

Since the last announcement of F-11 packages, a large number of packages have further been built. There currently are above 9000 rpms in the Fedora-11 repositories. Our effort has been to make available the following package groups: Base Core Web-server Gnome Desktop Xfce desktop Development Tools X server Web development Admin Tools System Tools Java The Fedora-11 updates for a large set of packages are also now available. For Fedora-12, we would like to start tracking packages preferably when all the shared lib .so version updates are settled for f12 (thus avoiding any additional rebuild cycles at our end). Most likely this will happen by the Fedora-12 Beta Freeze date (29 Sept, in 3/4 days). Kedar.

Prelink?

Hi - Koji says there's no builds of prelink: http://arm.koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=5672 But a Google around shows that it should be workable on Arm, eg, http://elinux.org/Pre_Linking Are there any plans to build this or are there problems that break it? -Andy

new sheevaplug/kirkwood kernel

Hi, I have built kernel 2.6.31-rc7 (vanilla) for the Kirkwood platform (sheevaplug, qnap [12]19, ...). Quite a lot of stuff is enabled and built as modules (even USB) so the kernel image is under 2MB in size. You can download the kernel uImage, modules and the kernel config from http://fedora.danny.cz/arm/ The kernel alone boots well with the rootfs, but I still have some issues when init ramdisk is used. Qemu pre-built kernels without serial console?

Hello, as I see in the configs for the prebuilt qemu kernels: CONFIG_SERIAL_8250=m CONFIG_SERIAL_AMBA_PL011=y CONFIG_SERIAL_AMBA_PL011_CONSOLE=y CONFIG_SERIAL_CORE=y CONFIG_SERIAL_CORE_CONSOLE=y Does this mean that a serial port like that of qemu (isn't it like a 16550?) doesn't work? I'd like to use "-nographic". I can't manage to get any output using "-nographic -append console=ttyS0". Regards, Lluís.

mkimage and devio submitted for review
