Help the badges team understand what this idea is all about. If this badge is awarded for certain kinds of activities: 1) What are those activities?

Trigger a build of any package in any side tag in Koji.

2) Who is doing them (are they packagers? translators? newcomers? veterans? users? sponsors?)

Packagers.

3) Why are they doing them (is this a means to a different end?)

When a new version of important lib is released.

4) When do they do them (every day? once a year?)

Side tags in Koji only happen when certain stack needs a rebuild. This is not very often, usually a few times a year.

5) How do they do them (by talking in IRC? by running commands in the console? by using a web interface?)

By using fedpkg.

Lastly, do you have any ideas for artwork concepts?

Some characters (badgers or pandas) standing side by side.

I think we could come up with a better concept for this one. If its Koji related, maybe we should try to include that logo in. My best idea would be to have a package, with a tag on it that also has a package on it? I am not sure that makes sense :P Anyone else have ideas?

riecatnor can correct me if wrong, but I think this badge concept is good to go, and it's ready for a designer to try tackling it. Triaging ticket and leaving it open for any future designers to go for. :)

@maryshak1996 Sorry about that. I was trying to say that this badge proposal is about "side tag" and the picture you've provided makes the "tag" part very hidden and the "package" part more like a "present" or "gif".

@churchyard The green was just to try something a little different that also complimented the light blue background well, but the color is certainly open to discussion too :)

I'm not challenging it form the design perspective. The only thing that concerns me is that so far package was always cardboard colored. I've prepared 4 color variants just to put here to see others opinion. (The position of the packages on those is not perfect, I'v just tried to make the color visible.)

I've also noticed that the badge is not positioned in the center of the page.

I must say that the cardboard only colored one is boring. I like the cardboard package with green tag. What about you?

Two suggestions for you: 1. Can you try a version where the graphics are centered in the middle of the badge, similar to this one: https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge /associate-editor

2. Can you try a version where the background flat with a pattern, or has a simple gradient?
