Hi,
When using pungi on a F17 system with all updates applied, it seems to work fine when I only use the F17 release repo in the config file, but it creates useless media when I also include the F17 updates repo.
Then, when booting the DVD, it times out after a long time when spawning the shell on tty2 and after selecting the keyboard it runs into a Python exception.
Are these known problems and what can I do about it? My main goal is to create media to install an up-to-date F17 from (only) DVD.
Otherwise I'll file a bug with all details
Thx,

Does an up to date version of F17 boot on the same machine?

I'm only testing with KVM hosts on CentOS 6. I can install a non-updated F17 system and update it, and see what happens, but the problems looks more like being systemd-related or so, as the startup sequence looks completely different (OK's right vs. left on the screen etc.).

To answer this qiestion: yes it does work fine to install from the own-created F17 release DVD and then update manually.

Hi, Jos,
Can you try excluding xkeyboard-config from the updates repo line, as in: "--exclude xkeyboard-config" at the end of all the other excludes? I'm unable to use the graphical installer, but I've gotten complaints from those who do, using my media. There's also a problem with setting the hostname which cropped up later. Haven't figured that one out yet. Thirdly, nothing will install. Happily, I added yum to the exclude list in the updates repo and fixed that problem. I'd appreciate it if you'd test the first suggested fix involving the keyboard since I'm unable to.
HTH and thanks
