Terminal services prototype

Hi! What has happened to the terminal services prototype that Mark McLoughlin published on his homepage http:// people.redhat.com/markmc/terminal-services-demo? The webpage is no longer there and I'm still interested on this. KDE locking up

First off, I have had troubles locking up all through the install process as well, only way I could complete that is text mode install for the first part (package install partitioning and boot loader config) and using skipddc as a kernel option at grub before the finalization of settings part. after that it brings me to the login screen, I enter my info, and it boots KDE, (same thing happens with Gnome btw) once the kde loader screen dissappears, the mouse still moves but nothing responds when I click. just locks up the second kde is done loading.. I have a Geforce 5200fx sound card, a AMD athlon xp, and 1gb of ram which came out clean in memtest86, SuSe linux does the same exact thing as well, but no other distro does (eg mandrake, knoppix, slackware etc..) are there any options im missing, or known issues of the same type? thanks in advance Sean

CVS snapshot RPMs for Fedore Core 2

Hi, I have put together a set of RPMs for Xorg CVS as of August 5 in http://freedesktop.org/~krh In other words, these RPMs have the new set of extensions, but also a set of known bugs (see #351). These aren't official Red Hat RPMs and they are only available for i386. Fedora Development will soon have official RPMs for other architectures, but for now these packages should make more widespread testing easier. Use the standard bugzilla.freedesktop.org for reporting bugs against these packages, and please Cc me (bugzilla account: krh(a)bitplanet.net) on bugs filed against them. Also, remember to check that the bug you are reporting is not already in bugzilla. Have fun, Kristian

wallpapers cont.

Well, here we go. 4 wallpapers for you to look at and hopefully give me some feedback. 2 unnamed ones are unfinished but show the idea that I would like to pursue. other 2 are just 1280x1024 updates to ones I've shown before. But gedit has a "select printer" iface, rigth? Anyway, is there ANY chance at all for this to make it into FC2? DO NOT SEND HTML MAIL to a mailing-list - doing so will: - get your (HTML-part-of-the) message scrubbed - which means deleted - for all users using digest mode. I (and probably many others didn't bother to read your mail at all - only the title...) - Generally get people anoyed at you => not a good way to get help 2. This should probably be asked at fedora-list, not here 3. GDM autologin of root is not possible for security reasons. Go hack'ing (no, not crack. hack the code if you want it badly) 4. You should not use the root-account on a daily basis (not even i winblows - it makes you more volunerable to viruses etc). Go make yourself a real USER account - and then use "su -" to get root when needed. 5. You probably knew this - but rh9 is old and not as "gut geignet" for newbies (why do i think you are a newbie? Hmm...) 6. Welcome to the world of Linux. Enjoy your stay.
