GNOME updates for F16

Hi, I have started to build GNOME 3.1.4 updates for F16 on Monday. Unfortunately, the branching cut in right between me building a soname-bumping cogl and everything that depends on it. I have now established a side target, f16-gnome, for building interdependent updates without the forced wait due to updates-testing. I think I got all cogl dependencies in the desktop rebuilt, and have filed a bodhi update with all those builds. There is still more 3.1.4 updates to do, and I am going on vacation tomorrow, so it would be great if other people (Richard, Tomas, Colin ?) could chime in and get the remaining builds done. Don't forget that a) you must switch to the f16 branch in git b) we have to file bodhi updates for all F16 builds now c) you can use f16-gnome for building a set of updates (koji build --target f16-gnome ...), and then tag them into f16-updates-candidate afterwards (koji tag-pkg f16-updates-candidate ...) d) the alpha freeze is coming up next Tuesday Thanks, and hope to see some of you in Berlin soon Matthias

Enlightenment DR17 packages orphan

This mail goes to desktop, spins, thomasj, subfusc - Hi there, orphaned packages were recently announced on fedora-devel and that they would be excluded from Fedora 16 if nobody is going to care about them. That announcement also includes the packages for Enlightenment DR17 and its dependencies of EFL. Is there any potential packager out there who would like to take those packages? I can't become a maintainer due to not having a sponsor yet. But I am interested in becoming a co-maintainer. I know of thomasj who maintained it in past. The user Subfusc noticed that he would like to package E17 for Fedora. Further then, I would like to see an Enlightenmint Spin :) Best regards, Raphael P.S. Gnome Shell notifications

I accidentally clicked on "Don't show me these messages anymore" (or whatever the string is) when I connected to a VPN. Now no messages (success or errors) display when I connect to a VPN. Is there a way to show the notifications again? I hunted through the dconf-editor but didn't see a key that toggles the notification windows. I Google'd around and didn't find anything either. Thanks, Michael

I just wanted to make the Desktop team aware of desktop-centric packages that may be orphaned or unbuildable due to other orphaned packages. Do we want to have orca, totem or abiword on the Desktop spin? It would be a shame to have a desktop without a media player or text-to-speech support. I'm not sure what the status of Abiword is--I don't recall whether it is on the Desktop spin or not. Where would one go to find out what is included in the spin? Default terminal in GNOME 3

I wondered how to set the default terminal in GNOME 3. The internet revealed gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.default-applications.terminal exec <terminal> gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.default-applications.terminal exec-arg "'-e'" This raises 2 questions: 1. Will it be possible to set the default terminal again in GNOME 3.2? 2. Where is 'exec-arg' arg coming from? In the past we had the xml files in /usr/share/gnome-control-center/default-apps/ which contained an 'exec-flag'. How can I as a maintainer of several terminal applications let people know the proper exec-flag/exec-arg? Regards, Christoph
