This is not really going to be a good first impression. Since this plugin is now by default in Rawhide, I was wondering if there was any plans to fix or workaround the problem.
Yum has been fixed upstream. The next yum release will have this fix. See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=519264 for all the details.
