Someone recently mentioned an anecdote where a user just installed Fedora and thought the rescue kernel boot entry meant it had been installed multiple times by mistake. It's not OK to show kernel version in the bootloader....

This is arguably the biggest wart on the distribution right now: our boot splash looks very poor compared to the plain spinner theme. Is poor branding worse than no branding? It's possible to make a great branded bootsplash -- just look at elementary OS -- but I think we'd be better off with the spinner than what we have right now.
On the bright side, we have come a long way for these to be my primary concerns. :)
