Heya,
It looks like shotwell isn't on the LiveCD anymore. Is it intentional for F18? If so, I'd need to modify shared-mime-info to use whatever the new image viewer is.
Cheers

I would assume this is a fallout from notting's comps rework in F18: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/ReworkPackageGroups
transmission appears to be gone from the LiveCD as well, likely for the same reason.
Cheers, Kalev

Until GNOME Photos will be ready, I think we should have shotwell installed by default. As for transmission, I see no reason to remove it, it's a useful tool, we should put it back.

Yeah, unintentional fallout from that. I've put it and simple-scan back.

Any objections for adding Transmission back as well?

I actually already went ahead and added Transmission back as well, after seeing Bill's message.
Anything else that's missing?

simple-scan and shotwell are relatively core gnome apps. transmission... isn't. Are we really defining bittorrent as part of the core GNOME experience?
It really fits better as an optional addon, or not included at all, IMO.

We do ship apps that are not part of the core desktop. Shotwell is not gnome (and gnome is developing a replacement), deja dup is not gnome, Firefox is not gnome, and all the system-config-* tools are not gnome.
Therefore I think "not part of the gnome core experience" is not really an argument you can use.
We have been shipping transmission by default for a while now, and nobody complained. It's also a very small app, so I see no reason why we shouldn't continue shipping it.
