Hi,
With IcedTea set to be in F8, should we look at including the java browser plugin in the desktop spin by default?

I don't see a reaso not to do so +1 from me... but how much space will icedtea take on the medium?

I think that makes sense, but a lot is going to come down to space. What packages give me the plugin?

can we enable it for the default fedora install? (non live installation) we are using a dvd anyway so I doubt space would be a issue.

Sure. And I've CC'd Tom Fitzsimmons to tell us about the security situation surrounding it.

A working java plugin out of the box makes sense for mainline fedora too...
Definitely - Andrew what you should do as I understand things is to get this file changed: http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewcvs/comps/comps-f8.xml.in?rev=1.71&view... Just stick it in graphical-internet?

Yup, I was just mucking with Eclipse stuff in comps yesterday. Either Tom or I will make sure it gets in.
Thanks,
Andrew
