I am using Redhat 9. Can anybody tellme how I can make my HP Laserjet 1010 work on linux. Instead of printing the matter it is printing something like "Unsupported Personality". I have got some PPD files, I kept in /etc/cups/. but when I go to system setting --> printing, I am not able to choose PPDs as drivers.
I have also HP Scanjet2400U scanner. Can any body tell me how to install the same.

HI I have a colour laser jet 5 here and the best I got it work in cups was using the postscript driver, as is, The laser should be able to understand postscript and change from PCL if thats what you have. Give it a try as I found none of the hp drivers worked in cups. Cheers Bob
