Hi, just a reminder: we do have the adwaita-qt theme included in the workstation for f22, and qt4 apps will pick it up automatically. Now (or when the alpha appears) would be a great time to try out your favourite qt apps and provide feedback on places where the theme needs more work.

So the main things to look for here when testing QT4 apps in Fedora Workstation is how much the look is like the GNOME theme (adwaita)?
Just a few other quick questions: * Is there a good example of an QT4 application where this theme is working as expected? I understand these apps won't have some of the gtk-specific things like headerbars etc, but having a good baseline app of what the look should be aiming for might be good.
* is there an easy way to see what toolkit an application is using, just to be sure we aren't looking at applications that are using older versions of QT or some other toolkit? If not, maybe a list of all the applications available in Fedora that use QT4 might be useful.

"About" -> "Qt" menu should work for most applications, I think. Here, QJackCtl, for example, says: "This program uses Qt version 4.8.6". And if I remember correctly, a bunch of others Qt applications have the same menu.

Or a more hardcore way to do the lookup is using "ldd /bin/app | grep libQt". Anyway, we have just a few Qt3 apps in Fedora and regarding Qt5, I plan to compile the theme for this version soon.

Btw. it's possible to use Breeze theme for Qt 5 meanwhile before you'll be able to build Qt 5 version. Adwaita and Breeze are pretty similar, Breeze is more flat/lightweight theme but when I was comparing Dolphin and Nautilus, except CSD it was hard to say which one is which. It is also considered by KDE SIG to stick with Adwaita for KDE spin as it fits better than Oxygen GTK (that's actually broken).

Hi,
as for applications, there is quite a bunch. I'd recommend trying something that's used by a lot of people, like Kate (text editor), KDevelop (IDE), Krita (graphical editor) or Umbrello (UML tool).
