abrt wishlist

Here's some of my pet irritations with abrt. Feel free to add your own, but please keep the gratuitous "me too"ing to a minimum. 1) The generated reports contain far too little information for library owners. Consider this report: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=658013 I get the EVRs for the kernel, and for the executable that happened to be running, but not for any of the libraries in between, even though the report very carefully tells me exactly which DSOs are loaded and where they are in memory. 2) I really dislike that "local trace generation" and "retrace server" are discussed as though they're the only options. If nothing else, for many non-trivial apps where abrt is potentially of the most use the core you're uploading can easily be hundreds of megabytes; that's not really better than downloading hundreds of megabytes. A network debuginfo service [1] would approach this problem in a completely different way, by letting the client download exactly as much debuginfo as it needs. 3) Reporting to bugzilla is a mistake. 4) Reporting to bugzilla without being able to scrape the bz username and password out of the firefox credential store is just cruel. Hi, noticed that esmtp "replaced" exim because of higher priority - is this expected? Personally I would classify esmtp as a per-user tool rather than systemwide one and make sure it gets lower priority than any of the traditional smtp servers. Update of gitolite (ACL system) on pkgs.fedoraproject.org

I've just updated the gitolite package on pkgs.fedoraproject.org. This package is what does ACL enforcement. This update brings us upstream support for the configuration we're using, and better error reporting when trying to clone a repo that doesn't exist yet. It also enables https authenticated support which we could look into for those that cannot use ssh. I tested this update quite a bit in our staging environment, but something can always go wrong, so if you notice anything weird when interacting with pkgs.fedoraproject.org please don't hesitate to email me, the infrastructure list, or find me on IRC to discuss it. Maven 3 - mvn3-local to replace mvn-jpp command

Hi everyone, I decided to post this to devel instead of java-devel, because I think this might be of interest to bigger audience. Today I built new version of maven package (beware, not maven2, but maven). This package contains apache-maven-3.0.0 with our custom resolver similar to mvn-jpp[1]. It would be great if people could start testing their builds with mvn3-local as a replacement for mvn-jpp. Please file any problems as bug against maven package. Ideally with whole build log. Maven package is installable in parallel with maven2.
