lynx - duplicate effort ( elinks )
keep lynx - a lot of existing scripts depend upon it, lynx really is almost as standard on *nix as vi - it is THE cli http client.
Is elinks command-line compatible to lynx? It it is, I would prefer to see elinks, as it renders pages much better (supports frames and tables, etc).
Agree, elinks features:
* Lots of protocols (local files, finger, http, https, ftp, smb, ipv4, ipv6) * Authentication (HTTP authentication, Proxy authentication) * Persistent cookies * Cute menus and dialogs * Tabbed browsing * Support for browser scripting (Perl, Lua, Guile) * Tables and frames rendering * Colors * Background (non-blocking) downloads
... and really active upstream developers.
