Until FC5, those two are equivalent. Having accepted that FC4/i386 isn't going to fit onto 4 CDs
FC4 i386 *is* going to fit on 4 CDs (almost certainly). It's x86_64 and possibly ppc that is over.

Something that needs to be mentioned - it was decided that it was better to go to 5 CDs for now than to kick eclipse and the Java stuff out.
Will you @redhat.com people please get your stories straight?
And if it is 5 CDs can we have Xfce back, please?

Ron, This isn't about 'getting stories straight' it's not like red hat is a single mind acting in unison. It's not like any open source project is like that either.
Here's the deal. Xfce got dropped out of core b/c we're trying to shave off some misc packages. Do I think it'll be in extras? Yes. I actually think it will: 1. be in extras 2. be kept more updated from extras 3. not be a problem for you.
I know it's hard to believe but we're trying to get everything together and sometimes it just takes a little time.

i386 is 4 CDs. It was decided to leave x86_64 at 5 CDs rather than remove Eclipse.

I really really like the decision to leave eclipse in the main distro. IMHO it has really matured to the point where it is a very viable IDE and I use it frequently for class and personal work. In general I think the packages being removed are all excellent candidates, you all deserve special brownies for this ;-)
