I don't think that included the correct license as a separate source 

file is the correct solution to the "wrong license file included in the source" problem. We are not supposed to add licenses ourselves. See the first 2 paragraphs from http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging/LicensingGuidelines#License_Text I strongly suggest to contact the authors and ask to fix the problem themselves. That is, unless you have already done that.

I spoke with upstream using IM and he told me that the program is GPL. I could package the git snapshot alternatively.
