Before writing a bugzilla RFE ticket I like to ask whether there are good reasons to not ship PHP with mcrypt support, means a php-mcrypt module and the required libmcrypt package. Are there such specific reasons? I know there is http://phprpms.sourceforge.net/mcrypt but think it would be worth to have it in the Core packages.
