I experienced the bug #189571 regarding failed burning on K3B and reported that it's still there on FC6. No response to my bug report... what can I do to make someone notice?

Have you tried burning with Nautilus on Gnome? Is it a KDE (k3b) specific thing or more of a general 'your burner doesn't work' thing?
Nautilus works ok. K3B just has the growisofs problem. Burner is a Sony and recognized as DW-Q28A firmware KYS3.

Filing the bug upstream so that it gets fixed up there is the best bet. Fedora (and everybody else that uses k3b) will then pick up the change next time they pull a new release from KDE.
Once KDE does fix it upstream, it might be prudent filing a bugzilla for the update to the new upstream version to fix problems $foo and $bar...

There will be a update on testing soon according to the last comment.
