Hi all,
I wanted to put a call for help on writing a new Community Blog article
for Fedora Outreachy Dec 2018 Round that calls outreachy mentors and
project.
This is the ticket where you can see more context -
https://pagure.io/fedora-diversity/issue/74
This is last year's article for reference -
https://communityblog.fedoraproject.org/outreachy-mentors-summer-2018/
If you want to help out with this, please reply back here on the mailing
list or drop a comment in
the Pagure ticket. If you need any help, please feel free to ask :)
Thanks & Regards,
Amita
Hi all,
I had some time to work on some of the FWD work this weekend and did two
things:
* Reviewed Dyuti's call for FWD CommBlog article and scheduled it for
Monday, July 2 ¹
* Rewrote the Fedora Women's Day 2018 wiki page to reflect our recent
changes to organization and how we are running things this year ²
¹ https://communityblog.fedoraproject.org/?p=5941&preview=1&_ppp=91b5c74314
² https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Women%27s_Day_2018
I wanted to make a quick update here about those changes. Thanks!

Hi all,
Since I will not be able to attend the meeting tomorrow, I wanted to
suggest removing the requirement for FWD event organizers to create a
wiki page for their event.
This practice is borrowed from the Ambassadors, but recently, since the
move to Pagure, this practice has become less common. I was also
thinking about what the benefit / gain is of asking FWD organizers to
create a wiki page for their event. Is it better to ask them to create a
wiki page, or to better document their event in a Pagure ticket in the
new FWD Pagure repo?
https://pagure.io/fedora-diversity/fedora-womens-day
I thought it may be more effective and a better use of planning time for
organizers to focus on Pagure only instead of also using a wiki page and
a Pagure ticket. I am not sure about others, but I didn't look back at
the wiki pages to reference events, but I checked Pagure tickets first.
Additionally, we will likely be able to keep Pagure tickets public,
since reimbursements will not happen here – the private information and
receipts will be processed in the fedora-budget repo. This allows us to
keep past year's tickets easily archived and referenced for future years.
https://pagure.io/fedora-budget
Do others have strong opinions on this? I'd like to think of ways to
reduce the burden of time-consuming work for FWD organizers. I'd like
for this to be discussed in the meeting tomorrow, if possible.
Thanks!

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to write a pitch for Fedora Women's Day 2018 for promoting the
event and attracting more contributors to organize the event. It would be
very helpful if you could go through and leave some feedbacks for me. Here
is the link to what I tried writing -

Dear all,
You are kindly invited to the meeting:
Diversity & Inclusion Team meeting on 2018-06-29 from 13:00:00 to 14:00:00 UTC
At fedora-diversity(a)irc.freenode.net
The meeting will be about:
This meeting is for members of the Fedora Diversity & Inclusion Team. We meet once every other week on the Freenode IRC network. Our meeting format is ticket-driven, so we look at tickets tagged as "[meeting](https://pagure.io/fedora-diversity/issues?status=Open&tags=meeting)" in our [Pagure repository](https://pagure.io/fedora-diversity).
More information about the Diversity Team is found [here](https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Diversity).
Source: https://apps.fedoraproject.org/calendar/meeting/6397/
Hi all,
Per discussion in IRC today, a new repository to accept Fedora Women's
Day (FWD) event proposals is now created and ready to receive submissions.
https://pagure.io/fedora-diversity/fedora-womens-day
We hoped to have event organizers submit their events in a specific repo
for FWD, different from the regular D&I Team Pagure. This helps us
narrow the focus and also use different features of Pagure to make it
easier for people to apply.
The repository is set up with relevant tags, priorities, milestones, and
a default ticket template for an event organizer to use for their event
proposal. This should help make it easier for event organizers and the
D&I team to review submissions.
See an example FWD 2018 proposal using the template here:
https://pagure.io/fedora-diversity/fedora-womens-day/issue/1
It would probably be a good idea to mention this in the FWD CommBlog
post too.
Does anyone have any thoughts or feedback? If not, the tooling is now in
place to begin accepting proposals for this year's FWDs.
