I'm a 31 year old man from Oslo, Norway. My name is in the signature above. I've been working with networks and computer security for the last 5 years, before that I was an instructor in TCP/IP among other things. I'm currently taking a year off, studying for Security+ and RHCE certifications. I have translated student material from english to norwegian in my days as an instructor, and would like to join the Fedoraproject and offer some translation or writing in english. Primarily, I'm interested in things related to networking and security. I've been working with both Linux, Windows, Mac OS X and some FreeBSD through the years. As far as I know (Bart's email last week), Bart, Murray and myself were of few people working on this. Good to know you now. Images on installation guide

Hi all, My name is Davidson Paulo, I'm a brazilian Fedora Ambassador, cvsdocs-admin, trying to work in Fedoca Docs since now. :-) I was looking at the Fedora Installation Guide[1] and I saw there is no images on the entire document. This is a standard? We in Brazil are thinking to create a full-detailed Fedora installation guide that can be enough to a new user install Fedora itself even without any experience with installing Linux or any other operating system, but we not want to create another unofficial guide, but improve what we already have in hands. Release Notes completions

I completely forgot my other AOB for the Docs meeting this morning, sorry... I am contemplating doing away with the completion requirements (>90%) for all release notes components, for several reasons: 1. We don't do this with any other code in Fedora. Incomplete translations are not stifled in normal packages. 2. Nothing is lost if English appears in a translation; the content is still official, meaningful, and (hopefully) helpful in most locales. 3. Incomplete translations are a way of luring translators with instant work assignments. 4. Translation teams that rely on a single volunteer are unfairly penalized for not being able to get hundreds of strings done in a few weeks. This was pretty much my idea to begin with in FC6 (or was it F7?) time frame, so any shouts of "Of course we shouldn't have this requirement, you insensitive clod!" are best aimed squarely at me anyway. Web-based translation

A week back or so there was a thread about web based translation of strings. or something like that.. Is that live.. ? My Hindi Docs Translation is doomed for a while, my HDD is off, luckily have a backup, but that means no more further translation till I get my Fedora up and running again. a webbased tool would be a boon for me.. -- regards, Ruturaj K. Hey All, I put a post up on fedoraforum.org[1] a week ago to try and get some feedback as to what people want in the way of guides. While mentioned in the FDSCo meeting the issue is generally not guides but people to maintain those guides I get the feeling that people do not know where to look to find the information. Is there a way to package the docs so they show up in fedora itself under a package name of fedora-docs-fedoraadminguide or something along those lines. Are we able to create a submenu in gnome/kde where docs can show up there in some sort of way? While the help menu in gnome is helpful a lot of people have never looked there. The thread location is listed below. If you read it the majority of complaints are about clarity and reasons to do things (mv -i foo).
