JOHN BABICH volunteered some time next week to help with these docs a bit. * BART COUVREUR wants to take over helming the AdminGuide and get it on track for a release. JOHN BABICH will re-invigorate DUG efforts. Both agreed these are core docs that we should be producing, and well. PAUL FRIELDS agreed to help with publishing these even if they are incomplete, in an effort to encourage community input and steering on these docs. * PAUL FRIELDS will start a discussion on this list about whether, and how, to cull our inordinately voluminous task list. He would like to cut down on the multiplicity of trackers we are using, which he believes might overwhelm potential contributors. There was some additional talk about BART's Training SIG idea. We agreed it would be nice to have L10N capability in moodle, which may not be there now. We will discuss Training further in the next meeting after BART gets more input and ideas. -- Paul W. [RFC] Fedora Training

Hi guys, I'm sending this idea Paul and I came up with here to get some more traction for it. The "basic" idea behind training is to encourage people to get involved with the Fedora project they presenting them some easy to follow courses which they can follow at there own rate. This (perhaps) as a replacement to the current wiki-pages explaining people how to get involved. We could also add some basic and advanced user-oriented courses to aid our users to get to know the system better (might be a replacement for the DUG?) If the interest for this idea is big enough, we might start a SIG to make this more concrete. Hi there, my name is António Duarte Filipe da Silva, I'm 33 years old and I live in Coruche, a small village in Portugal. Until 5 years ago I used to work in a IT firm in Lisbon but now I'm a free-lancer / entrepreneur with some spare time on my hands which I'd like to use to help Fedora in any way I can. I owe a lot to Fedora given the fact that I use it since Fedora Core 1 when I joined together a router out of a Pentium 100, a speedtouch adsl modem and an internal pci hub :) It worked quite well. I haven't contributed to any open source project yet mainly due to lack of time. I usually look at myself as a "rusty developer" and I think I can help with translations to Portuguese (pt_PT) as well as any documentation for now while I start looking for some other tasks as I move along and get more used to the whole process of contributing. Plone to DocBook solution

Earlier this year I hear talk of a Plone solution designed to let contributors write in Plone, and then have it converted to DocBook and then go through a workflow where it would be edited, checked into CVS, etc. I'm just curious where that ended up. (I know, most of you don't know me from Adam, so who am I to be asking? Let's just say I know DocBook and I am willing to help with Fedora docs.) Would someone mind letting me know what the status is? -Jared Smith

Hi, While translating the documentation, The generated HTML has got "Roman numerics" for the ordered listing numbering, eg. I see "24. फेडोरा प्रकल्प" Can there be a way to change that to "२४. फेडोरा प्रकल्प" by putting numerics in some file/config ? -- regards, Ruturaj K. Vartak http://www.ruturaj.net

Hi, I have just been approved for cla_redhat. I was wondering if I was suppose to join the DocWritersGroup by asking here, or by editing my Fedora Account. When I attempt to add DocWritersGroup as a new membership I receive the following error: A problem occurred in a Python script.
