Documentation Guide git repo?

Self Introduction

I have not worked on any other project in the OS community, but I want to contribute back to the community. I have limited programming skills, but I am a networking major attending a community college. I do love to program though I am not as skilled with it. My English Comp. Teacher as well as others have told me that I have excellent writing skills, and I thought that I could start giving back to the community by helping with documentation. stale 'docs' group requests

If you have requested access to the 'docs' group, it means you want to be part of this project. Great! The first important thing to do is to introduce yourself to this list[1]. Anyone who has requested 'docs' but not self-introduced within two weeks of requesting is going to get denied sponsorship for the group. No worries if you got busy and forgot. What value is a stand-alone guide compared to keeping an organized set of how-to pages on the wiki? As it stands, we have content split between the two locations. what does content look like on docs.fp.o

Hi, I saw this in #fedora-docs: "Wiki => XML in git => HTML => PHP-wrapped-HTML => CVS => HTML => docs.fp.o" Is it possible to build content with publican and then host on docs.fp.o? Will it look the same as if I built it locally? Cheers.

I made the permanent switch back to Fedora and open source software at the begin of this year after having Vista eat my computer and using a variety of open source tools to recover data and do my job that closed source tools couldn't do. By day I'm a security engineer, using Fedora in a Windows environment and just had to have tools that are reliable. I admit I still use XP running in VMware, but that is more for Visio than anything else. This is the first time I have ever joined an open source project in any way at all. Usually, I'd just download my software, use it and not give back. I figure it's time to change things and start contributing to a product I love and recommend to others. Justin What other projects or writing have you worked on in the past? This is my first project I have contributed to officially. I have created documentation for end-users at my job as a systems administrator. What level and type of computer skills do you have? I'm pretty much a power user (or at least like to think of myself as one). I run fedora 9 as my primary desktop and use it to manage a Windows-based server enivronment and Cisco equipment. I have my MCSA Messenging 2003 and my CCSP. I love new challenges and sharing my knowledge with others. What other skills do you have that might be applicable? User interface design, other so-called soft skills (people skills), programming, etc. I have a lot of experience supporting end-users and explaining things in a way that makes it easy for non-technical people to understand. I've studied graphic design, and have experience with most professional tools. What makes you an excellent match for the project? Status of release notes zero-day update

Tonight Paul closed out all the bugs that have been opened against the release notes for Fedora 10. We are almost ready to output a new POT file. The changes and additions are not many. These updated notes and translations are published on docs.fedoraproject.org/release-notes for the day of the Fedora 10 release. There is one bug still open, waiting for confirmation of the technical writing. Once we receive that confirmation and/or any fixes, then close the bug report, we'll build a new POT file and submit it. That should happen within, but no more than, the next 24 hours.
