Hi,
Since there was a slip, it was decided that new Wiki changes should be
added to the PO files, for the opportunity of being translated for the
Fedora 9 GA release notes
(https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-docs-list/2008-April/msg00092.html)
There have not been any major changes. The following is an overview of
what has changed:
## Virtualization (Virtualization.xml) ##
minor change: fully virtualized is two words, not one.
## Release Highlights (OverView.xml) ##
minor change, took out a double-space (not sure if this affects
translations :( )
## Architecture Specific Notes (ArchSpecific.xml) ##
very minor addition...
## Package Notes (PackageNotes.xml) ##
- new sections added:
* Sound Card Utility
* pilot-link and HAL/PolicyKit Interaction
## Fedora Desktop (Desktop.xml) ##
- minor content addition and corrections.
## File Systems (FileSystems.xml) ##
- minor content addition and a "note"
## Java (Java.xml) ##
very minor change ("open source" changed to "Free Software")
## System Services (SystemDaemons.xml) ##
new content for NetworkManger
## Internationalization (I18n.xml) ##
Language Support Installation
- minor addition, "thai, and so on"
- 23.2.2. Indic fonts, new bullet point, "The smc-fonts package has
been added for Malayalam."
- the QT immodules section has been removed
---
The PO files are due at 2359 UTC, 2008-04-29. Thanks for all your
help, apologies for any inconveniences this causes.
Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions!
Kind Regards,
Murray.

Is anyone going to add this, or is it fine as it is?
Thanks,

I'll check this out.

Xen Dom0 support is not included, nor slated to be included, in F9.
Folks that need Xen Dom0 are advised to stay with F8. For more
information, see

Not sure, maybe some PackageKit guys can answer this one

You didn't mention any X problems.

We discussed adding the changes from the wiki to the release notes,
given the extra timing for the release.
Unfortunately, we also told L10n to go ahead and work with the POT/PO
from _before_ any changes.
Since we didn't do those changes and a week has passed ...
* Do we want to do those changes?
* What about branching for F9 *right now* with what we have?
- We could make devel available for updates and new trans
- If we reach parity with F9 for translation, we update the F9 branch
from devel
* Other ideas?

Below is NOT the log from today's meeting, is the log from the
non-meeting. However, if no one new shows up at the scheduled time of
1900, we'll vote this log in as the log, and I'll repost, and the gods
of process will be appeased. Note this one is 21 minutes long, a record
length ... although mainly one guy, talking to himself.

Anyone know who was working with Bob Jensen on the IG the last few
months?
We're looking to see if there are any changes to incorporate into CVS
before we repeat the work. If possible. :)
thx - Karsten

Does anyone have time to sync changes from the wiki (since our last
pull) into CVS so that they can make it into the Fedora 9 final release?
If we do it now, translators have almost a week still to translate the
final changes.
