I have removed the "closed" templates from all the beats and reset the beats table at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Category:Documentation_beats
If you would like to help on a beat, please add your name to the "Writer" column. Even if someone is already on a beat I'm sure they wouldn't mind some help, but if a beat is an orphan, please consider standing up and taking the beat.
...
The schedule linked to from the beats page is for Release Notes only, and does not contain the Guides tasks.

I would like to tentatively add a "specific audiences" beat for audio creation enthusiasts/musicians. Not only is the Musicians' Guide going to be published with Fedora 14, but there will very likely be two significant pieces of software added to the Fedora repositories for the first time (jack2 and Qtractor). It doesn't make sense to write a beat for just one thing, but I think we'll get all three of these things at least. It would also help to forward my evil plans to bring musicians to Fedora.
I've added it to the wiki page, since it's a wiki. We can always take it down if it's not a good idea.
Thanks, Christopher.

It was on my to-do list to ping you and see whether you thought that a beat for musicians made more sense than just an entry in the multimedia beat.
I have an answer. Thanks for your bias toward action!
