Description of problem:
that provides drivers?
and if it could, mysql-connector-java-5.1.28-3.fc21.noarch.rpm provides/installs: /usr/share/java/mysql-connector-java.jar yet Eclipse looks for mysql-connector-java-5.1.0-bin.jar and errors, furthermore Eclipse does not detect/see this system-wide jar, user has to manually add it.

--- Comment #1 from Alexander Kurtakov akurtako@redhat.com --- I fully agree with you that the integration is not deep enough. It's the UX one gets when installing dtp from update site. As it would be too rude to install mysql/postgresql/etc. jdbc drivers for everybody the package needs splitting into subpackages first so people can install mysql or postgresql or whatever exactly they need. After that we can start adding dependencies to the subpackages. And after that we can start looking at the code to make it auto recognize and setup system installed jdbc drivers. The problem is I don't have any time for DTP now but I can promise answering questions and helping otherwise if you're interested in working on it?
