Hi, For those using Google/Android technology, as a side product of our efforts to prepare the maps for the Flock attendees, here is an online map: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1jaMfMOHsqFBuPtR65eKM9o52Mp4&usp=sharing Feel free to use it in your devices. There are multiple layers related with different kinds of interest (event, getting there, hotel neighborhood), you should switch in on/off according to your needs. Cross-posting to speakers and attendees lists to make sure all interested people get it. Hello everyone! I'm curious about certain things about transport. There will be a bus from airport to Krakow? If not, what would be better to take, bus, taxi, something else? Is there any details we should be aware of? Cheers, thanks, Sylvia S.

Best prepaid mobile plan

I've been looking at http://prepaid-data-sim-card.wikia.com/wiki/Poland and am a bit confused, especially by the mandatory registration that seems to have gone into effect on July 25. Can we get a SIM card at the airport, and what's the best operator/plan for a reasonable amount of data for a couple of weeks? Voice and SMS don't really matter to me. Thanks, Jonathan

I've just arrived in Poland for the first time today, with my wife and four small children. We've rented a flat using Airbnb and were trying to decide whether to take the official airport taxi or public transportation. The Jakdojade.pl Android app finally pushed the decision in favor of public transport, especially since it offers a free 1-month trial of the premium service. We put in the airport as our starting point, the address of our flat as the destination, and Jakdojade calculated how much we'd have to walk, what buses to take, and which tickets we should buy for the buses, even taking into account that the routes are different today given everything else happening in Krakow right now. Even with four small kids in tow, there was no stress involved, and we arrived at our flat within the time estimate. As a first-time visitor to Krakow, I'd strongly recommend this app if you're planning to navigate public transportation in Krakow. Jonathan

Taxi/Uber sharing wiki page

Speakers, I've created a wiki page for those of us flying in, so that some of us can split rides. While I realize that there is a train from the airport, I'm taking an overnight, and won't be keen to drag my luggage for 1.5 km from the train station (or, for that matter, figure out the stop names and ticket system). Arrive in the morning?

Hi, Some people have already announced that they would like to arrive in the morning, at 9 am or 10 am. Please be aware that the hotel check-in starts at 2 pm. [1] If you are going to arrive before that hour please contact the hotel staff directly or contact me. The hotel staff said that they will try to accept the guests at earlier hour but even if they know that you are going to arrive early it may not be possible to prepare the hotel room for you because the preceding guests are allowed to stay in their rooms until the noon (12 pm). I couldn't quite figure that part out. Realistically, it'd probably take me less time to walk the 1.5km than wait for a bus. Since I don't know your bus system, I'm not sure. All of the routes described, except the straight old city one, seem to involve multiple bus changes. Doing bus changes in a strange city is challenging even when you speak and read the language. In a character set I don't share, I don't even try without a guide. Is there an online bus map?
