We'll need to purchase inserts for the badges, and print them up before
hand with pre-registration information. We should wait as long as
possible to do this, but no later. ;-) Really, that's around a week or so
before the event, it doesn't need to be the night before.
What has worked well in previous FUDCons is to make sure each badge
includes a marking for the attendee's indicated vegetarian status (V, or
VV for vegan), and their shirt size. When that's printed right on the
badge, it makes check-in at the registration desk super-easy for everyone.
Another marking or format can delineate pre-registered people versus late
registrants. That can help with some of the swag giveaways and making
sure that everyone gets what they expect.

some people might be disturbed by the noise, so let's plan on buying a box

Tell us the following:
* What do you need covered? (Please estimate the costs in USD: hotel $X,
travel $Y)
Not sure - plane fare it looks like on Southwest is about $200 + fees when
booked on the web. AA doesn't seem to have any sort of evening flight out
to NYC on Monday. Any of EWR, JFK, or LGA would work. Hotel is whatever
the hotel ends up being, double occupancy :)
* If we cannot provide a full subsidy, will a partial subsidy be helpful?
(Yes/No)
Of course :)
* What will you accomplish by being at FUDCon? (Please be as specific as
possible, since this is the most important factor in granting requests.)
Potential Board meeting as is traditional at FUDCon, as well as
Infrastructure hackfest around whatever has come up at that point, and
most importantly Infrastructure support for FUDCon Live. Also NA
Ambassador items as they come up.
* If you are requesting airfare, include complete flight information such
as flight numbers, desired departure and arrival airports, and times. Also
let us know if you have specific time restrictions.
No specific restrictions that I'm aware of at this point.
* Do you need a visa or other official processing before you can attend
FUDCon? If so, approximately how long does that processing take?
No requirements for a US citizen to travel in the US, I hope :). Dunno
about those crazy AZ folks though :)
* Include any additional, relevant information.
None that I can think of....

* What do you need covered? Air + Hotel. ~350USD for Air ticket from
McAllen, Texas to Phoenix, Arizona. I'll pay for the transportation from
Phoenix to Tempe (And from Mexico to McAllen and viceversa). I'm willing
to share a room for the Hotel. I'd like to be as cheap as possible to

* Do you need a visa or other official processing before you can attend
FUDCon? Nope. American Citizen.
* Include any additional, relevant information.
There's a lot of reasons I'd like to go
* I'm working on a Web Events platform, called Timpus[1], and getting in
touch with other ambassadors and marketers would help make this tool as
useful as I possibly can make it.
* Regarding Timpus, some sort of a Hackfest would be welcome. I expect to
have an early demo of Timpus by the end of September btw.
* I'm also interested in packaging tutorials/conferences, as I don't
think I'm good enough a packager, though I manage 3-4 packages.
* To meet fellow Fedora Developers, as I (As well as DanielBruno and
Gomix) administer the ProyectoFedora.org infrastructure, and there's a lot
of things I'd like to discuss with them.
* Learn about organizing events, I'd like to do a FAD in Mexico.

I'm planning to give 2 or 3 talks:
** How to live with SELinux
at the moment, I am giving this presentation all over Europe, but I want
to show it to an American audiance too.. here is an abstract:
Security Enhanced Linux, is disabled in most cases due to fact
that most
people do not take the time to understand how to work with SELinux.
However security increases, by keeping SELinux on, as all applications
are segregated therefor even if a intruder were to enter it would only
affect that application. In RHEL,Fedora most applications are
predefined in SELinux and can be adjusted, however other applications
can be added easily with the integrated tools, allowing you to run any
custom application. The presentation explains what SELinux is, how it
works, how to implement the predefined policies and how to create custom
policies.
** My vision on the future of the Fedora project
My vision about the non technical challenges the Fedora Project encounters
(marketing, ambassadors, ...), how we can anticipate on it, what to
change, what is good, brain storming, making things happen.
** intro talk about Fedora Linux
installation, and basic configuration, like I did last year, but in one
hour in stead of 2 hours
** Syncing with Ryan Rix
get the guidelines settled for the Campus Ambassador project + review the
first months that are happening now
* If you are requesting airfare, include complete flight information such
as flight numbers, desired departure and arrival airports, and times. Also
let us know if you have specific time restrictions.
Brussels -> London: BA0393 (departure: 12:45 27 Jan // arrival: 13:05 27

I wish to have subsidy for accommodation and air fare
Looking on Yahoo! Travel I find out ...
Jan 28 Continental Flight 1073 from Managua (MGA) to Huston (IAH) and then
Continental Fligth 520 from Huston (IAH) to Phoenix (PHX).
Feb 01 Continental Flight 461 from Phoenix (PHX) to Houston (IAH) and then
Continental Fligth 1774 from Huston (IAH) to Managua (MGA)
This air fare will be about $978.24 Including travel protection plan
Regarding accommodation, I am willingly to share room.
I also can be helped with a partial subsidy. I can travel on my own budget
to Miami, and from there I will use subside to travel to fudcon.
Jan 28 American Airlines Flight 1007 from Miami (MIA) to Phoenix (PHX)
Feb 01 American Airlines Flight 1051 from Phoenix (PHX) to Miami (MIA)
This air fare is $326.34 including travel protection plan (I have not
invoked any discount code on this fare)
My objectives for attending fudcon are:
# To experience fudcon to grasp it fully so I can work on planning a
better fudcon in LATAM, more specifically in Central America.
# To learn new topics that I can later reproduce at local small events
# To catch up with members of the marketing team.
# To explore new ways in which I can contribute to the project.
# To renew energy and motivation
If I can be useful for arrange last minute items or after party clean up,
I can arrange more vacation days and travel before, leave later or both.

major developers and engineering at Temple is really important to achieve
this goal.
Also i would like to get closer to global Fedora community and present our
efforts to improve Fedora from our point of view. Possible speaches at
tech sessions (ruby/rails driven) and/or latam community presentation, or
both.
* Include any additional, relevant information.
My sister lives in Surprise AZ, so i can save the hotel and transportation
expenses. I would like to (if possible) flight one or two days before the
event, i flight back home, a week later (i'll stay visitng my sister and
