I would like to have my travel covered and a part of the hotel would be nice. * travel eDreams on 2012-10-29, from January 16th to January 22nd: ~US$900 * hotel the wiki pages says US$119/night, if the three nights from the FUDCon could be consider that would be nice, so US$357 * total: US$1257 * If we cannot provide a full subsidy, will a partial subsidy be helpful? (Yes/No?) Yes * If Yes, specify the minimum amount you need covered to facilitate your attendance. I would appreciate to have the travel costs covered. * What will you accomplish by being at FUDCon? I have been working with the infrastructure team for 18months now, but I have not had the chance to meet most of them. This FUDCon would be an occasion to do this for me. In addition, we need to think as a group the way we want to do our web- application development especially wrt framework and imho unit-tests. I am also involved in setting up jenkins instances on our cloud but there is much more we can do with it and I would be quite interesting to discuss or even possibly work on this over there. * If you are requesting airfare, include complete flight information such as flight numbers, desired departure and arrival airports, and times. My travel budget for the year was already allocated when this opportunity arose (rather suddenly), so I'm applying for funding for FUDCon accommodation. *** Tell us the following: * What do you need covered? Still awaiting word from other funding sources, so I'm not sure at this point. * What will you accomplish by being at FUDCon? (Please be as specific as possible, since this is the most important factor in granting requests.) There is growing interest in the Fedora ARM project in the EMEA region. As a participant in the Fedora ARM project (my research group operates the Fedora ARM koji buildsystem and is working on the RasPi remix) I would like to coordinate with these Fedora contributors. Specifically, I would like to have a test/hack session on the Raspberry Pi remix, and a discussion about EMEA-specific needs and interests in the Fedora ARM Secondary Architecture. * If you are requesting airfare, include complete flight information such as flight numbers, desired departure and arrival airports, and times. The current Fedora Installation Guide is based on the RHEL 5 Guide that I wrote in 2006, and is an early attempt to do modular, reusable authoring (see attached presentation). Since then I've been working on a system that supports division of large documentation tasks into small chunks of modular, reusable text. Now we have it.
