Fedora 18 i18n/l10n Test Day

Hi team Fedora 18 Schedule is out [ http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/18/Schedule ] we need to run Translation, i18n and installation test days. Chinese pinyin input in Fedora 17 possible?

Hi, I am struggling to find a way to input Pinyin in Fedora 17 to enable pinyin output with tone marks. Is there a way to achieve this? I have successfully installed ibus to enable Chinese character output, but cannot find any way to get pinyin outut. I also tried installing SCIM, but could not enable the SCIM input method at all. It seems ibus-m17n used to have a method to do this, but in the config file for this it says that the pinyin input method has been replaced by libpinyin, which again only seems to enable Chinese characters output. Thanks for any help! -- Johnny

Update on liberation fonts

Hi All, I have done liberation 2.00.0 release yesterday. Details updated on https://fedorahosted.org/liberation-fonts/ Highlights: 1. Licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1. Based on google-croscore version 1.21.0 2. More coverage now. Resolves "RFE: Add Greek Polytonic support to Liberation fonts" 3. Better hinting. 4. This release tarball does not contain Liberation Sans Narrow font. (Please get it from older releases) >From Fedora side: - In Fedora existing liberation-fonts will be split into liberation-fonts and liberation-narrow-fonts package. - I have created package review request for liberation-narrow-fonts https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=840878 - Once this review is done, i will build latest 2.00.0 liberation-fonts and liberation-narrow-fonts same time to avoid update problem. Once build for Fedora we can review the open bugs and can resolve if any new bugs. Regards, Pravin Satpute

More lndic language support in Android 4.1 release

Hi, Many of you now know that Google has released Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). This time its really nice to see that they have actually added a new section on the language support[1] in the feature list of Jelly Bean. Now we have six Indic language support in Android 4.1 release. These languages are Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. Regards, Parag.
