[announce] bugzilla Fonts component

Hello, First I should apologize for not discussing this more widely earlier, but in the i18n subproject we recently suggested and requested that there should be a generic 'Fonts' component in bugzilla for Fedora since we often see various generic fonts bugs which take time to determine and resolve and would easily get lost in the broad 'distribution' component. See https://pagure.io/i18n/issue/124 and https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/9368 for more background. Currently i18n-bugs is the primary assignee and fonts-bugs is in auto-CC. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?bug_status=__open__&component=Fonts… I think it can be used in two ways - primarily (long term) for distro wide fonts issues that are not bugs of a particular component (eg discussions on changing default fonts, etc) - possibly triaged from some font component, and secondly when users have no idea what component to file fonts issues under, which then would need to be triaged to a particular font package. I don't think we will see a huge number of bugs under this component but it should be useful for tracking longer term issues and problems. If this also helps to encourage Fonts SIG activity that would also be a good thing. Thanks, Jens

Transtats Update

Hi, Latest developments in Transtats brought it closer to automation in transporting translations from one platform to another. 0.8.5 is released[1]. Interestingly, following language groups are doing exceptionally well in translating our packages: Fedora - Ukrainian - Korean - Russian thanks. Dear translators, as communicated on Fedora Devel[0], the localization change for Fedora 34 [1] is available in staging: https://languages.stg.fedoraproject.org The goal: "Provide a public website for end users and contributors, containing Fedora Workstation translation progress and useful files for translators (as an example: translation memories)." What we were able to process: 2 223 packages, 200 638 translation files containing 25 015 189 words to translate (for each language), 341 languages. And we have more! * darknao were able to process old fedora release, the oldest one we successfully computed was Fedora 7 <3 You'll see this in production. * we'll have access statistics: https://languages.stg.fedoraproject.org/stats.html (all local based on log, no ip address, no sharing with any third parties) Help needed: * UI is to be rewritten * javascript table sorting is broken Now we have to discuss what comes next, I really think this tooling can help us to better understand and support the global open source translators community. Latest Transtats 0.8.2 deployed in Production

Hi, Latest release of Transtats[1] 0.8.2 is deployed in production[2]. #changes[3] - Memsource APIs integration. - Push/Pull translation job templates. - CI Pipeline to handle/automate push/pull. - theforeman.org support in Transtats. - UI changes, bug fixes. Latest Transtats 0.8.1 deployed in Production

Hi, Latest release of Transtats[1] 0.8.1 is deployed in production[2]. #changes - Add upstream l10n repository - Packages have been migrated to weblate. This was required as - 1. "Sync Upstream Job" depends on the l10n repo if it exists else default. 2. "String Change Job" depends on the source repo.
