About nuancier 0.4.3

Hi all, This morning Gnokii let me know that he faced a bug in nuancier. I found it quickly via the logs and fixed it (locally first so that he could keep working and in the sources then). Right after it I made a new release 0.4.3. With the fix there was still something going wrong and the logs showed a 'Permission Denied', so I turned off selinux and it seems to have worked. Being at the airport I do not really have the possibility to look more into it, my guess is that there is a boolean that needs to be switched on both nuancier hosts. I have imported the nuancier package 0.4.3 to the infra repo but did not update the host, so if someone was willing to push the update and add the missing SELinux logic to the playbook I would appreciate it :) Otherwise, I'll push the update and look at the playbook next week. Just don't be surprised there is a nuancier 0.4.3 in the repo while the hosts are running 0.4.2 and SELinux is on permissive on both hosts. Thanks and have a nice Sunday, Cheers, Pierre

I've been thinking about a few ways we can clean up fedorahosted.org and, after talking with Kevin, I think I've got a good enough draft to let you guys give any input you might have. I've pasted the draft at http://paste.fedoraproject.org/98687/ Drop your ideas in here and we'll add them to the list as we go. I'm also in #fedora-admin and #fedora-noc as bwood09. Thanks for your help! Hopefully we can have this hammered out quickly!

Greetings. Just a heads up that I will be gone starting saturday and back late next wed night (back to work thursday). I will have cell saturday and sunday morning, and wed afternoon/evening, but the rest of the time I will be completely off the grid. (Backpacking in the wilderness far from anything). Hi Folks, Let me introduce myself. My name is Benjamin Pereto and i'm a young system admin / system engineer from Switzerland. That all clichés are complete, I work for my bread and water as a system specialist in a bank. There, I'm responsible for all linux servers, mostly redhat. But I also get to know fedora and other distributions. I don't now if its the same by you, I had an apprentice (trainee) 2008. Time by time I achieved the RHCE and now I want to contribute back, what helped me to learn and work with awesome linux. So my skills, earned by work or leisure are, base OS maintaining, such as installation, administration, deploying, software integration. Most common use is java, so i work with httpd, jboss, tomcat aswell the squid proxy infrastructure with dns. The Hardware which linux runs is HP Proliant Systems, and the virtualization is mostly vmware. Incidentally I work on Sun SPARC or AIX from IBM. What is a sysadmin/engineer without programming, right? I know shell scripting very well. Others are the web (php, html(5), css, jquery) or java (android sdk). At the moment i'm trying python. I would like to learn more from a open source project. As well this is the first time i want to work in an community and a look behind the walls. I see what happens. I'm expect to learn new programming languages and more automation and improve my understanding new technologies. The automation at my work is not really good - time to change (wink)? For taking the firsts steps, a minimum of 4-6 hours a week is not a problem, but depends of the amount of work. At the trac I saw one, two tickets, but I really want get to know some more.
