I just noticed that my FAS account has an automatic(?) @fedoraproject.org email address. Is there an "Inbox" for this or is it just an alias to my "Primary" account address for privacy, etc.?
Thanks!

The latter. You can set up your email client to send with that address, and mail received will be forwarded to your registered email address.
Thanks for the clarification. I just received this "reject" notice when sending a test msg. So, if I understand correctly, it is non-deliverable from the outside world and can simply be used as the "From:" address in my MUA?

No, people are supposed to be able to send you mail with that address, the Red Hat MTA would just auto-forward it to your email address.
OK. Thanks. Maybe temporarily out-of-service or just needs time to propagate a recent change(addition) of a new "Primary" address to my profile.
The account listed in previous emails is currently only a member of the base groups: Approved Groups: cla_done cla_fpca . Aliases are added only after you have been accepted into another group.

All an email alias does is the following:
You email smooge@fedoraproject.org That email goes to the fedora servers Those servers translate smooge@fedoraproject.org to smooge@gmail.com Those servers send that email to smooge@gmail.com I get the email in my gmail.com address.
It doesn't allow me to login to gmail with smooge@fedoraproject.org nor does it allow me to use smooge@fedoraproject.org to get email from google. I still have to pull my email as smooge@gmail.com. This is because Google does not 'own' or 'control' a fedoraproject.org domain to do so.
If there are instructions which say that you can do more than that with a fedoraproject.org address, please point them out so I can figure out why they said that.

So I tested sending an email to the address and what my logs showed were:
Nov 1 15:11:06 linode01 postfix/smtp[16314]: 23A0BBFAA: to=< sincorchetes@fedoraproject.org>, relay=mx1.redhat.com[209.132.183.28]:25, delay=1.4, delays=0.01/0/0.41/1, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (250 2.0.0 Ok: queued as 8EFC5307D920)
The Red Hat mail server then did the checking and did this:
Nov 1 19:11:06 bastion02 postfix/smtpd[28091]: 8D849607EA42: client= ext-mx19.extmail.prod.ext.phx2.redhat.com[10.5.110.48] Nov 1 19:11:06 bastion02 postfix/cleanup[27819]: 8D849607EA42: message-id=< alpine.LRH.2.21.1911011510380.16278@linode01.smoogespace.com> Nov 1 19:11:06 bastion02 opendkim[1239]: 8D849607EA42: ext-mx19.extmail.prod.ext.phx2.redhat.com [10.5.110.48] not internal Nov 1 19:11:06 bastion02 opendkim[1239]: 8D849607EA42: not authenticated Nov 1 19:11:06 bastion02 opendkim[1239]: 8D849607EA42: no signature data Nov 1 19:11:06 bastion02 postfix/qmgr[12008]: 8D849607EA42: from=< smooge@linode01.smoogespace.com>, size=1984, nrcpt=1 (queue active) Nov 1 19:11:06 bastion02 postfix/cleanup[27815]: C9950607EA61: message-id=< alpine.LRH.2.21.1911011510380.16278@linode01.smoogespace.com> Nov 1 19:11:06 bastion02 postfix/qmgr[12008]: C9950607EA61: from=< smooge@linode01.smoogespace.com>, size=2194, nrcpt=1 (queue active) Nov 1 19:11:06 bastion02 postfix/local[27873]: 8D849607EA42: to=< sincorchetes@fedoraproject.org>, relay=local, delay=0.28, delays=0.24/0/0/0.03, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (forwarded as C9950607EA61) Nov 1 19:11:06 bastion02 postfix/qmgr[12008]: 8D849607EA42: removed Nov 1 19:11:07 bastion02 postfix/smtp[28135]: C9950607EA61: to=< sincorchetes@gmail.com>, orig_to=sincorchetes@fedoraproject.org, relay= gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com[74.125.197.26]:25, delay=1.2, delays=0.03/0/0.3/0.81, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (250 2.0.0 OK 1572635467 i5si7469857pfa.236 - gsmtp) Nov 1 19:11:07 bastion02 postfix/qmgr[12008]: C9950607EA61: removed
so it looks like it is all working. If you are sending mail to yourself from gmail, then you aren't going to see it show up because gmail sees it is a loop and says 'well we have a copy which you sent.. that is all you keep'

You first need to setup this address correctly .. Read in Google help or using internet search about HOW TO SETUP AN ALIAS EMAIL ADDRESS using gmail , outlook email services .
Or You can get the same details from fedoraproject wiki .
Please remember Google email services and few otgers need some changes prior to enabling email send or receive via non google email ALIAS address .. check the details

It isn't automatic but is 'awarded' after you have joined a group in Fedora. (AKA have gone past just signing the fpca). Once you have become a packager or some other group, it gets added on the next run to the mail proxy which will alias @fedoraproject.org -> <your real address>.
