Will the Java DBus bindings be packaged with Fedora 7? If not is anyone maintaing that package as a RPM? JOe.

Another crack at photran

I'm starting to take another crack at building the photran Eclipse feature. I've got a very rough srpm based on the cdt spec here: http://www.cora.nwra.com/~orion/fedora/eclipse-photran-3.1.1-0.fc6.src.rpm I have no idea if I've got the right compile command. update manager problem with Fedora Eclipse

Hi, I found a problem with the update manager in Fedora Eclipse FC-6 and rawhide and I'm working on a fix. No StringBufferOutputStream???

So if there is a StringBufferInputStream, you would think that there would be a StringBufferOutputStream. Any ideas as to why there isn't?? Jim C.

newbie question

Hi, I am trying to package my first java program (JOSM, a tool to use with http://www.openstreetmap.org). I got as far as patching it to build with fedora's javac, and now i want to create a spec file. Is there a sample one available? I can't find one in /etc/rpmdevtools/spectemplate-*.spec Second question: where should i report any problems with the gcj java implementation? Sander

Jasper5 And Fedora Core 6, build-classpath problems

This post was originally sent to tomcat users list but I was told it was a packaging problem and not in scope for tomcat hence I should redirect it to a Fedora list. I trust I am picking the right lists here. I am trying to use Jasper on Fedora Core 6 to precompile some of my jsp but I come across the following classpath builder errors when trying run the jasper script:- $ /usr/bin/jasper5.sh /usr/bin/build-classpath: error: Could not find jasper-compiler Java extension for this JVM /usr/bin/build-classpath: error: Could not find jasper-runtime Java extension for this JVM /usr/bin/build-classpath: error: Could not find jsp-2.0-api Java extension for this JVM /usr/bin/build-classpath: error: Could not find servlet-2.4-api Java extension for this JVM /usr/bin/build-classpath: error: Some specified jars were not found Usage: /usr/bin/jasper5.sh ( jspc ) Commands: jspc - Run the offline JSP compiler I looked in the script to see what jar files the classpath builder needed and compared that to similar looking jar files in /usr/share/java By creating links to the following files I get rid of the errors $ su - # cd /usr/share/java # ln -s jasper5-compiler.jar jasper-compiler.jar # ln -s jasper5-runtime.jar jasper-runtime.jar # ln -s tomcat5-jsp-2.0-api.jar jsp-2.0-api.jar # ln -s tomcat5-servlet-2.4-api.jar servlet-2.4-api.jar # exit $ /usr/bin/jasper5.sh Usage: /usr/bin/jasper5.sh ( jspc ) Commands: jspc - Run the offline JSP compiler So what I am wondering is have I missed off installing a compatibility package or is there a mistake in the jasper package that should either create these links or change the names required in the script?
