nntp (aka, usenet) client in kde?

I currently use t-bird with an nntp account pointing to gmane to read this list and sereral others. Does kde have an nntp client program of any sort? I don't see it as a possible new account type in kmail. Also, search with kpackagekit yields nothing with "usenet" or "nntp" that is kde specific. -gene

KDE SIG Badge

Hello all, A new Fedora badge has been proposed for "membership in the KDE SIG": https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-badges/ticket/132 As far as I can see, there is not a formal definition of membership in the group. Some options for awarding the badge: - We could create a new FAS group and trigger the badge awarding off of that. Lots of other badges work this way, so it is easy to do. The only downside is that you have a FAS group with no other real purpose than for handing out badges. It has to be maintained, pruned eventually, etc.. - Or, instead, we could take one or two volunteers from the SIG to be 'in charge' of the badge. There is a self-service interface in the webapp where they could manually award the badge to sig members as they see fit. I'd like to do it however the sig wants it done. Can you hash it out and let the badges crew know by posting back in the trac ticket above? Cheers- -Ralph

baloo-kcmadv in f20/kde-unstable repo

An alternative baloo-kcmadv with more features and closer to the nepomuk kcm is under development, and has been packaged in f20/kde-unstable repo. Features include: disable indexing button whitelist/blacklist mime/glob filtering Once installed, you'll see a new item "Desktop Search Advanced" in systemsettings. -- rex

Baloo: tags missing

Hi, I did the switch to KDE 4.13 and I seem to lost the tags that I've added to my files. This is most likely due to Nepomuk - > Baloo migration. Could not find anything useful on the list or in the web, so : Are the tags lost , or I need to dig deeper into how to attempt to retrieve them from some data store that Nepomuk had ? If so, any hints or links on how to do it ? konqueror: move files terrible slow

what does Knoqueror all the time while move 6000 files from a folder containing 50000 files to a different folder? these are all small files and it's a joke 5 files per second on a Core-i7-IvyBdrige with 16 GB RAM and a RAID10 as disk storage don't get me wrong but without all the progress display and calculation that could happen within 1 or a few seconds

KDEConnect

Is anyone running KDEConnect under Fedora-21? I have yum-installed kde-connect and kde-connect-devel and followed the (rather arcane) instructions at <http://xmodulo.com/integrate-android-kde-linux-desktop.html>. But when I click on System Settings=>Hardware=>KDE Connect on my Fedora-21 Thinkpad T510 laptop and then click on KDE Connect on my Samsung Galaxy S5 I am told that there are no AVAILABLE DEVICES. I've tried disabling firewalld on the laptop, but that does not seem to help. I am able to ping my phone from my laptop. (I am unable to ping my laptop, or any IP address, from the Terminal Emulator app on my phone.)
