I recently experienced a seg-fault with kde 4.11 x86_64 installation from the kde-repo repository. I have some kde*.i686 packages installed as well. I tried to download and install debug symbols, but ran into multiple conflicts.
Please consider, if time permits the possibility of proper multi-lib support in the kde-testing repo

Not going to happen any time soon, it's just too much. In the meantime, you can always use: http://kdeforge2.unl.edu/kde-redhat/fedora/kde-i386.repo on your x86_64 box.
good news though, all this stuff is currently in updates-testing, which *does* support multilib.

I currently am using the kde testing i386 repo for i686 requirements. However, as I indicated. When I try to install debug info I get conflicts.

In short, you shouldn't ever install/use multilib'd -debuginfo, else you'll definitely run into conflicts.

I forgot the name of the dialogue box that comes up when a kde application crashes. It asks if you want to report a bug and then a button lights up that allows you download and install debuginfo. It then goes on to enable all debug info repos. It does not ask if there are any repos that you do not want debuginfo installed from.

If you already have the debuginfo installed, DrKonqi won't ask you to fetch more. You can also, right in the crash window, before reporting it, trigger a manual refresh of the backtrace, after downloading the debuginfo you want manually.
