OK, what is suggested method to do yum --enablerepo=kde-testing update?
Either 1. remove the i386 stuff, 2. dl and install the i386 (multilib) stuff manually. 3. Enable i386 kde-redhat repos for a crude multilib

This worked well here.

removing qt.i386 would remove:

Any reason I shouldn't remove any of these?

Should be ok, not sure why the -devel pkgs are getting pulled, but you can just as well add those back after-the-fact.

OK. I thought it would be obvious to me how to do this, but it isn't. How do I do that?

Manually edit /etc/yum.repos.d/kde.repo: Replicate the [kde], [kde-testing] and [kde-unstable] sections, thereby renaming them to [kde-i386], [kde-testing-i386] and [kde-unstable-i386], respectively, and replacing "$basearch" with "i386" in these three sections.
