I just finished a first pass at a rebase to 3.1 for f15. I'm commit this and push it out when 3.1.1 lands upstream. (Hopefully next week)
Those of you with commit access, unless there's something urgent (ie, a security bug), don't bother committing anything to f15/, as no further 2.6.40 builds will go out unless absolutely necessary.

f15/ rebase is now committed. Any 16/ changes should now also go on this branch, unless they require f16 userspace updates.

For the brave, first build of the rebase is at http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=3495533

Thanks as always ... I'm currently running the F16 3.1 recompiled on F15 on my sandybridge laptop and not seen any issues yet. Is your build any different than the koji kernel-3.1.0-7.fc16 ?
I don't see any actual builds at your above koji link tho.

hah right you are .. silly me ... thanks!
now all i need is what, if any, diffs this kernel has versus the f16 3.1-7 one.

it lacks a couple patches, and there are some config option changes to cope with the different userspace (built-in vs modular changes) nothing much.
by the time I push out a proper update, the patches will be synced up again, so the code should be the same.
