Hi All,
I just kicked off the first 3.17 merge window kernel build on koji. I've tested it locally here on a few machines and haven't noticed any significant issues. If you feel so inclined, please grab it from koji when it completes and try it out. Let us know how it's working. If for some reason it's broken on a significant number of machines, I can try untagging it before it his the rawhide repo tomorrow.

Seems to work fine here...
I did see an odd message about efi var's before the kernel started booting, it went by too fast to catch, and doesn't seem to be causing any problems I can tell.

Probably "setup_efi_pci failed!" from the EFI boot wrapper. I saw that as well, and have contacted upstream about it. Apparently a lot of people see it so the maintainer is thinking of reverting the warning. (The error has likely always been happening and it isn't concerning. 3.17 just adds a printk about it.)
Thanks for testing!

Seems to be good here. One thing that I noticed is that occasionally the cachedrop test will fail, but I haven't looked into it in a great amount of detail to figure out if the problem is reporting or a real problem with dropping the caches. On 1 out of 4 runs of the regression suite, that happened.

Perhaps I spoke slightly too soon - I'm not seeing anything functionally wrong, however looking through dmesg I see a bunch of i915 DRM issues. I normally don't run debug-enabled kernels on this machine, so I'm not sure if this is new or something that has existed for a long time. Let me know if you need more information::

Sigh. i915 has all kinds of these reported in bugzilla. Apparently people like throwing WARN_ON into the code.
And the build failure on ARM needs to be taken care of too :)
Yeah, we're aware of that. Fortunately Kyle is awesome.
