The current liveusb-creator code tries to deal with the possibility extlinux might not be installed, but actually fails to. The attached set of Git patches (against current master branch) fix this.
Especially as this is my first proposed set of patches against liveusb-creator, and possibly not the last, I'm obviously open to careful scrutiny of these, and would welcome any constructive criticism.
(I may be dumb, but I did not manage to register an account on your Trac so I could not create a ticket. Hence this email submission. I'll probably setup a public Git repository quite soon in order to send pull requests instead of attached patches, unless this does not suit your workflow.)
