Hey all,
I noticed that LXQt uses Openbox instead of Kwin for the
compositor/window manager. However, Openbox has been dead for almost
six years[1] and doesn't seem to have a path to Wayland. Meanwhile, it
seems Kwin works quite well with LXQt[2] and supports both X11 and
Wayland. Moreover, it's actively maintained and seems to improve the
responsiveness of the LXQt desktop.
Have you folks considered moving from Openbox to Kwin with LXQt 0.16.0
in Fedora 34?

Hello,
Do you think to integrate Trojita http://trojita.flaska.net/ in a future LXQt Spin?
Have a nice time with Fedora!
Best regards,

Hi Patrick,
You are more than welcome to help!
Being a packager you need to get 'sponsored' by packager sponsor. It's
unfortunately that none of the LXQt maintainers are packager sponsor. So
I suggest you to follow-up the official guide[1] here. It's a bit long,
but it provides the basic information that is needed in your packaging
workflow.
OTOH, before you get sponsored into the packager group, you can still
contribute to the LXQt stuff by sending pull requests on dist git. Here
is the list of most of the LXQt packages[2]. Existing contributions via
pull requests is regarded a big plus when you are seeking for packager
sponsorship.
Feel free to reach out to the list if you have any questions.
