Hello,
Is it possible to install OpenLMI/Pegasus on RHEL6.4 for evaluation purposes?
http://www.openlmi.org/using_openlmi
I would prefer not to use Fedora 20 or RHEL7 right now as I'm prototyping. So what LMI components are needed for RHEL6?
thanks Noel

There is a prototype of this RHEL 6 effort available here: http://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/rnovacek/openlmi-epel-6/
Please note, this is in *no way* an official repository. It is a mechanism to preview OpenLMI capabilities in RHEL 6. Do not install this on production systems.

Looking at the original question again, I wouldn't recommend using the RHEL 6 COPR to evaluate OpenLMI - it is not as mature, stable, or feature rich as the shipping version of OpenLMI.
If you want to evaluate OpenLMI, I would strongly recommend using Fedora 20 or RHEL 7. It its current state, the RHEL 6 COPR is suitable for people familiar with OpenLMI who want an early look at RHEL 6 development efforts.
If you need to use RHEL 6 to evaluate OpenLMI, I would suggest waiting several months until it matures. The current RHEL 6 prototype does not provide a representative experience for OpenLMI.

Hi Russell,
Thanks for the info/advice ..... OK, I'll concentrate on using LMI on RHEL7 instead for reasons you suggest.
