Priority configuration

I have a requirement to send alert notifications to an incident management system. I see that I can customize the the alert emails but is there a way to remove the "!" marks from the alert priorities? best way to remove unwanted plugins

We are deploying the rhq server to a number of systems and we'd like to slim down the slim down the number of plugins on the system. Can we pull unwanted plugins out of the rhq-server zip file, rebuild it and deploy the slimmed zip file? Is that the best way or is there some other method? Bala Nair SeaChange International

Error adding a resource

I have a custom Script plugin that I have successfully added to 2 servers but on a third server I get this error: ________________________________ Unable to connect to the Agent. Cause: javax.ejb.EJBException:java.lang.RuntimeException: Error adding Script Server resource to inventory as a child of the resource with id 10439 - cause: Server specified unknown Resource type: ResourceType[id=10251, category=Server, name=Script Server, plugin=businessObjects] -> java.lang.RuntimeException:Error adding Script Server resource to inventory as a child of the resource with id 10439 - cause: Server specified unknown Resource type: ResourceType[id=10251, category=Server, name=Script Server, plugin=businessObjects] -> java.lang.IllegalStateException:Server specified unknown Resource type: ResourceType[id=10251, category=Server, name=Script Server, plugin=businessObjects] ________________________________ Resource 10251 is a Hibernate Server but I don't know why that is so. Request, Info, solution For Exporting measurments from JON/RHQ. (Again)

Hi *.* Can you help me anybody how to export over 1 month collected measurments data from RHQ ? I need a simple script, - a method - of making solution to get a resource/metric data be exported into csv. Example I need XX resource YY Metric data from the last ZZ days Primarily interested in CLI, but if there is no other solution, then either postgres sql script could be envisaged. unable to see new services

We have a situation where we updated a plugin to add new child services. However, after we deploy the plugin the new child services are not visible. The Agent most likely has a plugin named 'USM' installed that is not installed on the Server. I checked that the agent and server have the same version of the USM plugin and they do, so I don't understand why the server thinks things are out of sync. Any ideas? Log file monitoring

Back in September I posted a question about monitoring arbitrary log files and John M replied that the Platofrm 's Inventory->Connection properties has an events log section. New preview release of RHQ 4 available

Hi, we have just made a new developer preview release of RHQ available. This release features a lot of changes and improvements in the UI, that is rewritten in GWT. Agents on clustered or failover servers

Does anyone have guidelines or suggestions on using RHQ on servers in both active-active or active-passive configurations? If monitoring physical components, registering the agent on each server in the cluster with its physical IP seems to make sense (although in an active-passive arrangement where some filesystems are on a SAN, the filesystem may not be mounted on the passive node). If monitoring a logical service, registering with the Service's IP may make sense. Does it matter that the RHQ server may connect to an agent on one node and then later to another node as the traffice is load balanced across an active-active cluster? Cannot display Tomcat instance

I have one Tomcat instance that will not inventory fully. It happens to be a Tomcat 5 embedded in another product. JMX Remoting is working properly. The Tomcat server appears in inventory but is always unavailable and no child resources display.
