RHQ-Server / Agent 3.0.0 Stable Release + MySQL 5.1.x not Discovered

Hi ALL, I just installed rhq-server 3.0.0 and was able configure the server and the agent successfully. However all the applications are getting discovered except MySQL 5.1.x percona builds. The MySQL I am using are : Percona-Server-server-51-5.1.47-rel11.1.51.rhel5 and MySQL-server-percona-5.1.34-5.rhel5 The output of discovery results in ------------------------------------------------------- MySql.MySql Server: Starting discovery... MySql.MySql Server: Process scan detected a server - scan=[ProcessScan: query=[process|basename|match=^mysqld$,process|basename|nomatch|parent=^mysqld$], name=[unix]], process=[process: pid=[3885], name=[/usr/sbin/mysqld], ppid=[3602]] MySql.MySql Server: Done. ----------------------------------------------------------- However I am able to add the MySql Server Manually. -- Thanks & Regards Prashant N

WG: how to change resource name programmatically

Hi All, @Joseph: Thank you very much for the instructions how to add a manual resource to RHQ. This helped me a lot! @All: Now, I also have the problem to rename my added resource. I found out that there is the possibility to change properties (e.g. the name of a resource) by calling the equivalent setter method: var res = ResourceManager.getResource(subject, 10001) res.setName("My Resource Name") The question now is: How to commit this property change via CLI, so it is updated on the server? I could not find an update method or something equal in the CLI API. Btw, another question: Where to find the most recent API description for the CLI interface? The one I currently use is: http://www.redhat.com/docs/en-US/JBoss_ON/2.3/api/remote-api/index.html But there the DiscoveryBoss is completely undescribed. Is there some? [diverting this thread to the rhq-users list, taking it off the devel list] Did it ever say it was green/up? If not, it sounds like you possibly have secured the remote JNP endpoint and the agent doesn't know about the credentials. Did you go to the JBossAS Server resource's Inventory tab, Connections subtab and confirm its all correct (including the JNP endpoint and credentials)? If that is wrong, the jboss plugin won't be able to connect to your JBossAs instance and will report it down.
