Hello,
When I perform the installation of RHQ v4.13.1, I am issuing the ./rhqctl install command. When I issue this command, the installation successfully completes. When I try to start everything up (./rhqctl start), the server never quite makes it all the way up, and gives me an error indicating the Storage Node is at an earlier version. When I issue ./rhqctl upgrade -list-versions, I see the server is at v4.13.1, the agent is at 4.13.1, but the Storage node is at PRE-4.13.1. I have tried the ./rhqctl install, and have even tried installing each individual component as well, with the same results. What could be happening? I will continue to research.
Regards,
Barry
I have tried several reinstalls, and am running into the same issue:
Installed Server Versions Server Name Server1 Version = 4.13.1 Server2 Version = 4.13.1
Installed Storage Node Versions Storage Node Address Server1 Version = PRE-4.13.1 Server2 Version = PRE-4.13.1
The previous version on the server was v4.11.0. Is it because the 4.11 server instance is still on the server along with its storage node, and that is causing something with this install? Is there a way for me to just upgrade the storage node from PRE-4.13.1 to 4.13.1? I hadn't seen any commands to use for just a storage node upgrade. I saw the storage node schema upgrade command, but that was it.

Hi,
When updating the RHQ installation from 4.11 -> 4.13.1, please use the rhqctl upgrade command. After the upgrade, it should list additional steps (in the console) you should take to bring the storage node version up-to-date.

I do use the rhqctl command to upgrade. I tried various methods, and am now just using rhqctl install. The install completes, but no additional instructions are provided in the console. When I use the rhqctl upgrade --list-versions, I see the storage node is still at PRE-4.13.1. It says to upgrade the Storage node, but no instructions.

Sorry, when I did try the rhqctl upgrade command, the upgrade was also failing so I figured I'd just install from scratch. I would think the Storage node from scratch would be at v4.13.1.

Barry
