Hi,
I upgraded my server and agents from RH-4.4 to RHQ-4.5. When I am trying to import a system / resource through the discovered queue, I get error
Failed to import Resources
in the Administrator GUI. The logs/rhq-server-log4j.log is attached to the mail.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
2012-09-27 17:04:53,822 INFO [org.hibernate.event.def.DefaultLoadEventListener] Error performing load command org.hibernate.PropertyAccessException: Null value was assigned to a property of primitive type setter of org.rhq.core.domain.configuration.definition.PropertyDefinitionList.min
Who was it that added the min/max stuff to the Property data model? Heiko, was that you? I can't remember - but it looks like this is related to that. Hopefully, this doesn't mean this is broken, I do remember something bad happened before with this stuff, but I thought that bug was fixed.

I just tested the import of a resource from the discovery queue with a custom plug-in and I didn't encounter that problem, so it must be specific to some plug-ins.

By the looks of it, this is an upgrade issue. I.e. it happens when you install RHQ 4.5.0 and select to upgrade an already existing database with some resources imported in the inventory.
Things should work fine when you're doing a fresh install.

Hmm. this obviously sucks. If its true that we have an upgrade issue, we need to release a fix. And we should probably consider releasing some kind of SQL to help fix people who already upgraded.
That's a plausible explanation. As a matter of fact (and in contrast to Prashant) I started with a fresh database (I'm only preparing to upgrade our existing RHQ instance).

We will produce a 4.5.1 release in the next few days (we are working on it already).
