Hi!
Could not find much information on this. But I was wondering if it is/or can be supported, that an user in Active Directory (system setup with SSSD), to change his/hers own "default shell" in AD (as in Attribute: loginShell).
It looks like "chsh" only work for local (/etc/passwd) users.
Does anyone have any information about this?

There are few option related to shell you can use in sssd.conf @see man sssd.conf -> override_shell -> allowed_shells -> vetoed_shells -> shell_fallback -> default_shell

In case you're looking for something like sss_chsh, it's actually by design that the user himself can't change the shell in a centralized environment.
