Hi!

The upcoming release of stratisd will be a patch release, 3.0.3, but the next release will increase the minor version number, and will be 3.1.0. Whenever we put out a new minor version, we put out new revisions of Stratis D-Bus interfaces. We've considered a bit, and we believe that the constraints we imposed on backwards compatibility between D-Bus interface revisions in the stratisd 2.0 release were unhelpfully strong. We would like to relax the constraints somewhat in the 3.0 release. We need to make a decision in the next week or two, to keep up with our development.

We're requesting comments on our proposal[1]. We're trying to make use of the GitHub Discussions facility, so we invite your comments or questions at the linked Announcement.
