Figured out the problem now, did not work as the Virtualbox standard gives the VM not enough RAM or disk, with 8GB disk and 1GB ram, worked better if i beefed up the VM to 12GB disk and 4GB ram

Actually, it looks like MirrorManager wasn't responding quickly enough for getting it to setup properly.
