Proposal: Fedora G11N Steering Committee

Hi All, I am sure, most of the people working with Fedora I18N, L10N from 5-6 year must be aware regarding Fedora L10N Steering Committee. [1] As far as i know this committee was active around 2009 and very effective. During Fedora G11N activity day discussions, we again felt there is need for some kind of official committee to drive Fedora Globalization activities. Fedora is growing faster with number of different domains and G11N also need to adapt those changes quickly to remain on the track. For this purpose and in line with [1], we were thinking of Fedora Globalization steering committee. I have created initial proposal for it. [2] Its open for feedback, please feel free to share other active members, discuss in your respective language groups. This is just initial proposal and i am sure, we can improve and make it more effective with active participation. Hi everyone, My name is Takuro Nagamoto. I am a Japanese translator at Red Hat, based in Brisbane, Australia. I just wanted to let you know that I took over a coordinator role for Fedora Japanese translation from Noriko, who left Red Hat in January (greatly missed). Translating the Cube

Hi all, My name is Alexandre, I work with the french translation team time-to-time, but now, I search to translate the Fedora Cheat Cube [1], WICH i ALSO LIKE TO UPDATE [2]. Because it is an svg (i.e. a text file), I think we can do more than simple edit-and-translate (like extract a .po file or something like that), to help others later. Any idea on how to do this ? *[Spanish]* Hola a todos, Mi nombre es Julita Inca y soy peruana. Soy Ingeniera de Sistemas UNAC con una Maestria en Informática con mención en Ciencias de la Computación en la PUCP. Comencé en el mundo del Software Libre en el año 2009 con Ubuntu y luego gané el OPW Outreach Program for Women en GNOME en el 2011 que me permitió aprender más de Linux. Gracias al auspicio de GNOME, en el año 2012 visité las oficinas de Red Hat de República Checa y conocí al admirable Jiri Eischman quien es un gran organizador de Eventos de FEDORA y GNOME en su país y decidí seguir su ejemplo. En el año 2012 gané el scholarship de la Linux Foundation para entrenarme como Administrador Linux y ese mismo comencé mi labor como embajadora FEDORA Perú y gracias a GNOME y FEDORA he podido hacer muchos install parties en Lima y provincias en Perú a lo largo de 7 años. En el año 2014 logré tener mi certificación, aún vigente, de RHSCA y RHCE. Esto me permitió seguir creciendo en el campo laboral, académico y de investigación. En el año 2016 conocí al líder de Documentación de FEDORA: Eduardo Mayorga y ahora pretendo formar parte del equipo de documentación FEDORA para colaborar con la documentación de Sysadmin F25 que veo aún está incompleta. *[English]* Hi everyone: My name is Julita Inca and I'm from Peru. In 2012 I won a scholarship of the Linux Foundation to start my training as Sysadmin and the same year, my labor as Fedora Peru Ambassador has also started. Thanks to the GNOME Foundation and the support of Fedora I was able to do install parties in many universities in Lima and in provinces in Peru for around seven years. In 2014 I achieved my RHSCA and RHCE certifications that are current valid and they let me to grow in the professional, academic and research field. In 2016 I have met Eduardo Mayorga who is the leader of the Documentation Team and now I pretend to be involved in the Sysadmin F25 documentation which I see is still incomplete. Thanks in advance! Self-Introduction : Raph for french!

Hi everyone! My name is Raph and I would love to contribute to Fedora from my hometown Paris. I think the way to start for me will be translating Fedora content into French.My FAS username is bandango and I'm an astrophysics student. I'll be working on general relativity and it's simulation and I do quite a bit of programming for numerical physics. It used to be in Fortran (yeah I know!) and I'm moving to Python now (phew!). That's why I would also like to contribute to Fedora Labs (most notably Astronomy and Scientific) but until I get used to working with the community and all the atmosphere, I would love to translate to French for Fedora. I've been running Fedora and the GNU/Linux tools for about 4 years (with one interruption for Ubuntu at some point for a couple of months) and it looks like I'm sticking around with Fedora now! translate-toolkit-2.0.0 in F25 Updates testing

Hi I built translate-toolkit-2.0.0 for F25+ on Saturday and it is now in F25 updates-testing. Please test it if you are interested and use it.
